What's love gotta do with it?

Professer Dr Bracken was known for his elaborate object lessons, so the students weren't taken bu surprised when they entered the classroom and saw a huge target on the front wall. Trisha knew something was up, however, when she noticed several darts placed carefully on a nearby table. She took her seat and listened to instructions given out. 'Take out a sheet of paper and draw a sketch of someone you dislike; someone wjo has hurst you; someone who has angered you. When you're finished, I'll post each picture  on the target and allow you to throw darts at the person's picture.' Tony drew a pictire of his dad, who had struggeled with alcohol and left the family when Toby was young. Emily drew a pictire of a girl who had stolen her biyfriend. Darren drew a picture of his brother. Trisha drew a pictire of her ex-friend who had her deeply. She tried to make him as ugly as she could. The students posted their pictures on the huge target and one by one they started throwing darts. Some threw with such force that their targets  began ripping apart. Trisha could not wait for her turn and her anger grew each minute. 'Okay class, return to your seats. This exercise took longer than I expected,' said Dr Bracken. Trisha sat in anger beacuse she did not get to throw a dart. As she quietly fumed, Dr Braken began removing the target from the wall. Trisha gasped. Underneath the target was a picture of Jesus. Silence fell over the room as each stident viewed the mangled picture of Jesus. Holes and jagged marks covered his face and His eyes were pierced.

What's important to God?

The Bible tells us that someday every knee and tongue will bow and every tongue would confess that Jesus Christ is Lord. Every single one of us will stand before God on Judgement Day. Have you ever what it will be like? What will God be concerned with?

*God won't ask you what car you drove but He might ask you how many people you drove who didn't have transportation.
*God won't ask you how big your house is but He might ask you how many people you welcomed into your home.
*God won't ask about your social status but He might ask you what kind of class you displayed.
*God won't ask you how many material possesions you had but He might ask if they dictated your life.
*God won't ask you what neighbourhood you lived in but He might ask you  how you treated your neighbours.

God is concerned with the status in your heart and you actions. Truth is, our actions often reflect our heart. Are you actions representative of Christ? It all starts with your heart Is you heart totally dedicated to Him?Are you more concerned about becoming  all He wants you to be than seeing how much you get? Ask God to transform your thinking. When you heart has that kind of focus, your actions will reflect Christ Himself.

Personal Thoughts: I especially like the part when it says 'I am searching for you, Lord. Please fill me/guide me' and 'Jesus' blood cleanses me and my sins'. Sometimes when I think about sinning, I would think of Jesus dying on the cross for me. And when we want to draw closer to God, we need to pray, ask Him to let us understand His word better. We need to ask him to 充滿我!

Verse Of The Day-3rd Feb

VOTD:

Psalm 59:16 'But I will sing of your strength,
                     in the morning I will sing of your love;
                     for you are my fortress,
my refuge in times of trouble.'

Do you sing of His strength, do you sing of His love? Meeting tribulations, troubles, persecution, God is our refuge. He is our fortress, protecting us each and every single day of our lives.

Verse Of The Day-2 Feb

VOTD:

Hebrews 4:12-13' For the word of God is alive and active. Sharper than any double-edged sword, it penetrates even to dividing soul and spirit, joints and marrow; it judges the thoughts and attitudes of the heart. 13 Nothing in all creation is hidden from God’s sight. Everything is uncovered and laid bare before the eyes of him to whom we must give account.'

We are being watched every single minute of our lives by God. Every selfish thing, anything that we do against His commadment can all be seen. Therefore, let us be watchful is everything we do.
